Bootcamp Revolution

Well I decided to join a bootcamp and it started this morning. It is in my neighboorhood so it's easy to get to but that is about the only thing easy about it. It is 3 days a week for 1 month and it's 6:15 am to 7:00 am. I went this morning and I am still in a mild state of shock. As you know I trained for a 1/2 marathon not too long ago so I am not one to complain much about hard work but GEEZ! When he said bootcamp he meant it. We stared out running 3 laps, then stretched, then did a combination of jumping jacks, push-ups (the real ones), sit ups, lunges, squats, plank holds and SPRINTS for the next 40 minutes with no stopping. Yep, right in the middle of all this he would say ok, now sprint up the hill and back!!! So, this is not for wimps, this is the real deal and as much as I want to be in shape I am going to need some REAL motivation!! Anyways, I'll keep you posted on my progress, I must say if I don't loose weight after this then I give up!

Lil Bella Boo

Well Josh and I have been blessed with two new little girls in our life. Josh's sister Erin had her baby Thursday July 5th. Bella Danielle weighed 6 lbs 11 oz and was 19 inches long. We left our trip to Charleston a day early to drive back to Knoxville to meet her. It has been such a long time since I have been around a newborn and I must say it is quite an experience. We are just so thrilled that the Lord has blessed our families with two healthy little girls and mothers. Here are a few pictures from our first time meeting little Bella (two days old). It makes me very anxious to meet Kiley!

Day at the beach

So last week Josh and I went to visit our friends, Daniel and Morgan, in Charleston. Daniel already owns one Larry's Sub Shop in Statesboro, GA but is living in Charleston for the next few months to open his 2nd one there. We had a wonderful time with them, going to the beach, sightseeing and shopping in Charleston and eating great seafood. I drove the whole way there on Tuesday after work which wasn't that bad, 5 hours and since it was late we didn't do much that night. Wednesday we spent the whole day at the beach, Sullivan's Island. We played boche ball and just laid around. That night we went to dinner and watched several firework shows across the horizon which was great! Thursday we went into Charleston for some sightseeing, we took a carriage ride and walked through the open air markets and ate dinner at the Noisy Oyster, later that night we went bowling. Friday was our last day so we went to USS Yorktown and took the tour there then went to Daniel's store to help him stock his food shipment that just came in (his Grand Opening is tomorrow). Then that night we went to Isle of Palms for our last dinner and some live beach music. We had a wonderful time and really appreciate the hospitality of our wonderful friends. Please keep Daniel in your prayers that he will have a successful opening this week! Here are some pics!

Birthday and Old Friends

This weekend I got to get off work early enough to drive in and surprise Jason at his birthday party but somehow he already knew I was coming in. It was still great to be there with him and I just HAD to be there when we gave him his Playstation 3 (even though he already knew about that too). So much for surprises these day!! I also got to spend time with some old friends that I hadn't seen in way too long, we had a great time catching up and sharing old memories. Here are some pictures...of course Hayley, Erin and Max I get to see all the time, I was talking about the guys, Travis, Eric and Robert. By the way, Robert is in med school for plastic surgery so we will have the hook up one day!! :)

Today is Jason's 21st Birthday and I wanted to recognize him on my blog because he is such a an amazing person. He is a wonderful brother and friend and I am so blessed to have him in my life. He can make anyone laugh and is always goofing off, he is ambitious and driven, he honest and kind, he is someone that many people can learn from. He is one of the most special people in my life and I thank God for him everyday. Happy Birthday Jason, I hope you have the most wonderful day and party this weekend. I wish I was there to celebrate with you. I love you and miss you!

Weekend Fun!

The Wedding Cake
Me and Heather
Me and Melissa
Me and my handsome date
Me with Kelli and Tisha

Friday night Josh and I went to the Braves vs. Detroit game. They didn't win but I got to eat a hotdog so I was happy. Saturday night was my friend Melissa's Wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous! They put a lot of time into little details and it really paid off. The ceremony was at a beautiful church in the heart of Atlanta. Stained glass windows were everywhere so there was no need for lots of added decorations. It was very traditional and very pretty. The reception was at the new hotel in Atlantic Station which is pretty modern. For cocktail hour they had Sushi and everyone just stood around and talked. They opened the ballroom about an hour later and it's hard to describe how pretty it was. They had palm tree shadows on the entire back wall which was great lighting, and it was filled with exotic flowers I don't even know the names of. The food was excellent with lots of variety and they had banana pudding and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Lots of dancing and lots of fun! It was very tasteful and we had a wonderful time. The cutest part was all the guests got cookies when they left and they even had "Pupcakes" that you could take home for your dog. There was a picture of their dog and the card around the bag said they were from him. I thought that was a really cute touch! I have included some pictures but forgive me if they are blurry, the lighting sort of through me off and I didn't make any adjustments on my camera. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Another Busy but FUN Weekend

Josh, Me, Morgan and Daniel at the game

The crew after the game
Me with Macay and his wifte Dru

Well my weekend started when our friends Daniel and Morgan came on Thursday night. They live in south GA so we don't get to see them that much. We just made dinner, chicken parmesan, and talked all night catching up with each other. Friday night we went to our friend Brad's 30th birthday, Josh works with him Chick-fil-a. There were about 20 people there and good munchie food. On Saturday Daniel and Morgan came back to town and we went to the Braves game that night. What was different about this was that their friend Keith and Brooke were with us and Brooke is Macay McBride's little sister. Macay plays for the Braves, he is a relief pitcher. Because we were with her we got to sit in the family section at the Braves game. They were great seats right behind home plate and it was neat to see all the players families and wives. Andre 3000 from Outkast was also there in our section so that was fun. After the game Macay and his wife Dru met us across the street at the Bullpen where we got to hang out with him and talk to them about what's it's like to be a Major League Baseball player. It was a neat experience and of course I got an autographed ball and pictures taken with him.

Action Packed Week (some great, some bad)

I was trying to think if most people like to hear the good or bad news first. I always like to hear bad so I will start with that. This week I took my car to the shop and walked out with a $1300 bill. It drives a lot better but geez! I had to have a left front ball joint replaced ($330), outer axle boots replaced ($600) and front lower control arm bushings replaced ($200). The thing is when I got the bill, the parts only cost around $400 but they charge $80/hour for labor so over $700 of it was labor. Oh well, these guys were recommended so hopefully they did a good job. Well it doesn't stop there. After Josh dropped me off to pick up my car and help me pay for it, his brakes go out. Yep, his car is just sitting there waiting for us to tow it somewhere. We just weren't in the mood to deal with it that day! Well the very exciting news is that Lacy had her baby and I am an aunt! I'm am so excited to add little Kiley to our family and can't wait to meet her. Babies are the best! Congratualtions Lacy and Jeremy!

I'm famous!

It's really random that I posted pictures of Max's wedding because she just told me that this picture is featured in not one, but two magazine's in Dallas. Of course it's the professional version at different angles and stuff but it's this pose. Max said one of the articles is talking about the people that did the flowers and I'm not sure what the other one is. Anyways I thought that was exciting and wanted to share! I know the picture is a little dark but I am the 2nd to last one.

Memorial Day Weekend!

Well I had a wonderful long weekend! Josh and I left Atlanta Thursday after work and spent the whole weekend at Norris Lake on his family's house boat. I just love the lake, it's so relaxing! We wake up to a wonderful breakfast, read a book, take a nap, ride on the pontoon boat and eat excellent dinners. I am in heaven at the lake! We came back Sunday so I could see my mom and stayed at her house for dinner! We decided to drive back to Atlanta at night to hopefully miss traffic. It was such a good idea because we made it in 3 hours. I slept the whole way again, thank you Josh for driving. Monday we laid out by the pool at the apartment and I guess I thought since I had been out in the sun all weekend I would be fine not to put sunscreen on, well that was a huge mistake that I am paying for today! The best part of the whole weekend was that Josh made dinner last night and it was WONDERFUL! He made a pot roast, broccoli casserole and mashed potatoes. Everything was so good and I went back for seconds which I hardly ever do. I am so glad that he takes after his dad and is a wonderful cook. The other part of my weekend was always making sure I had my cell phone or that is was getting reception (at the lake) in case I got the call that Lacy was in labor. I just knew she was going to come this weekend! Well I'm still waiting! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

AT&T Classic

On Friday Josh and I got to go to the AT&T Classic Golf Tournament. The best part is that we got to sit in a Corporate Hospitality Suite (at the 18th hole) and it was all free. One of Josh's vendors through work invited a couple of the Chick-fil-a IT guys and a guest. It was a beautiful course right in the middle of a multi-million dollar neighborhood, the homes were gorgeous. The day was beautiful and because we were there on a Friday it was not that crowded. The catering was done by Proof of the Pudding which is very well known here in Atlanta and it was delicious, again the best part was that is was all free. One of our favorite parts of the day was the "Paintfest"! The Children's Hospital of Atlanta had a tent set up where anyone could donate time and paint these canvas's which were going to be put up for the children. They were already drawn, thank goodness, and all you had to do was fill in colors. I have not painted in a while but that was so much fun, and Josh loved it too. I had to actually pull him away! Overall it was a great day and I got to miss half a day of work too! Sorry I don't have any pictures but you can't take cameras to a golf tournament!

Max's Wedding

Ok, I know it was a while ago but I wasn't sure if anyone got to see the pictures or not. It was in August in Ennis, Texas, just outside of Dallas. Talk about hot!!! It's a darling little town and us girls had so much fun together. Here are a few pictures of pre-wedding festivities (bowling), rehearsal dinner, and the wedding day!

Mothers Day

Here are some pictures from Mother's Day. I ate 2 big lunches that day and was glad that Josh drove back to Atlanta, I slept the whole way. We had lunch with mom at a restaurant in Halls and then lunch at Josh's parents a few hours later. They were both yummy but it took all I had to eat at Josh's. I've been exercising ever since. I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Sorry!

For those of you who actually look at my blog I am sorry it's been so long since I have posted. My job has increased my workload and hours significantly and I'm just tired when I get home because I travel every weekend too. Despite being busy all the time I have had lots of fun with my family and friends over the past month so I promise to post pictures very soon. I did the celebrity look alike thing Darby did, great idea! My confidence level has gone way up! Ha! So take a look below. I miss everyone and hope to see you soon!

Great Idea Darby
