Hayley's Bachelorette Weekend in Vegas!

Just got back from a quick weekend in Vegas. Actually I got back Sunday evening but anyways we had a blast as usual. I arrived a few hours before everyone else and spent time getting the room decorated. I have to thank my extremely thoughtful boyfriend for the room. You see, I REALLY wanted to upgrade to a "GO" room at the Flamingo because it was white and pink and just perfect for a bachelorette weekend as opposed to a dull, dark, regular room at an old hotel. My plan all along was to see if there were any upgrades upon my arrival but Josh was ahead of me. He was in Vegas all last week for an IT conference and on his last day (the day before I arrived) he went by the flamingo and paid for our upgrade because he knew how important it was to me. I cannot tell you my level of excitement when he told me and then when the room was completely decorated, I started crying because everything was just perfect, THANK YOU JOSH! See below
The girls got in early evening and we spent the next few hours getting ready and having a mini lingerie shower. For dinner we took her to KOI, a sushi resturant that was delicious and at Planet Hollywood, one of my favorite casino's (very young and hip feel). This picture below was taken before dinner at Planet Hollywood.
On Saturday we rented a cabana out by the pool. If you have the extra money cabana's are the way to go. I personally wouldn't be able to spend that much time outside in 100 degree weather but then you also get great service, a TV, a comfortable place to sit and of course get to feel special. Because of this we were able to spend the entire day outside which was relaxing and so fun!
That evening we did a quick and casual dinner at Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville since it was at our hotel. Then off to show the Wynn hotel to the girls. It's a fabulous hotel that everyone must go see if you haven't. I must stay there the next time I go to Vegas, it's amazing. This is Hayley and I at dinner.
Viva Las Vegas!

Matt and Allison Wedding

Matt is Jason's childhood friend and was his college roommate. This past weekend Mom and I attended the wedding and Jason was obviously a groomsman. The ceremony was at the church we grew up in (only in the new large sanctuary) and the reception was at Holston Hills Country Club. I can't believe all these little guys that used to run around my mom's house are grown up and getting married. Yet again, something that makes me feel older. Anyways we had a great time. Allison is precious, she is so petite and a very sweet girl. We are so happy for them both. Here are some pics.

There were SO many people there, I think they invited 400 so it was hard to get pics, this is one of the cute ones though.

Interesting Numbers

Of the 26 weekends from Jan 1-June 27th...

Josh and I have traveled 13 of those weekends, had 8 weekends with visitors in Atlanta and 5 weekends in Atlanta to spend time alone. Now I'm not complaining because each of those weekends have been special and we've made great memories and enjoyed the time with family and friends but is this normal? Do you all travel that much and have so little time to just "be at home"? I'm just curious if it's because we live away from where we grew up or if your late 20's are just a busy time with lots of events and such.

No wonder my car is always in the shop :)

Stay tuned for pics from Jason's best friends wedding and it's off to Vegas this weekend for Hayley's Bachelorette Weekend, fun times!

Hilton Head Vacay!

We just got back from a wondeful week in Hilton Head. My boss let us stay in her condo again this year and we had such a great time. We even got to take Dozer!!!! He has never been to the beach before and we don't usually get to take him on trips so this was an extra special treat! Relaxation was the theme for this trip and we did just that, laying out at the beach, eating dinner in most nights and just taking it easy!
Dozer ready to head to the beach!
I love this picture, his first time on sand!

I love this one too, not his first time on sand :)

Our family footprints

Daddy going with him to check out the ocean

Yuck!

Sunset at dinner over the intercoastal waterway

Our one night out for seafood. We didn't go out much because we didn't want to leave Dozer

Walking around the shops

I've always wanted to do professional pics with Dozer but couldn't justify the cost so I decided to do them ourselves. Mommy and Dozer in the dunes.

I love this one!

Grilling out one night.

Beach life is rough :)

On Friday our friends Daniel and Christy came from Statesboro to spend some time with us. On Saturday we went down to the crowded part of the beach only to feel old :) Lots of college students.

Having lunch at the beach.

I already want to go back!

Girls Weekend in Nashville

The first weekend of May I took a quick trip to Nashville to see my college best friend and roommate, and to hang out with other girls we went to college with. It was great to see everyone and I got to meet Samantha and Jamie's new dog, Palmer...he's so sweet!
At dinner
Me, Carrie, Aftin, Calle and Samantha having a great time at dinner despite the rainy night.

Palmer, he's a goldendoodle :)

Saturday morning Aftin was sweet enough to host a brunch at her house 3 doors down from Samantha's. She invited some other local Nashville KD's that we haven't seen in awhile. It was a great time to catch up and eat delicious food (crepes and french toast)

I told the girls I wouldn't post this on facebook but I didn't say I wouldn't on my blog ;)
