Chirstmas Time!

Sleepy Santa Puppy

If you don't know already, Chirstmas is my favorite time of year. I love decorating and can't wait to have a bigger place to really decorate. But for now I do what I can with an apartment. Here are some pictures. Thank you mom for bringing all of this to me, I wouldn't have any decorations if it weren't for you. Oh and Dozer hates to have things put on his head but he was so sleepy from the weekend that he just laid on the couch while we decorated and didn't bother to take his santa hat off.

The End

Friday afternoon we decided to go have lunch with Josh at Chick-fil-a (he had to work). Jason and Meredith had never been and we thought it would be a good day since a lot of people wouldn't be there. We were right, it was nice and quiet and we got to take lots of pics I normally wouldn't have wanted to take with everyone at work. Here are some pics from the day.

Black Friday

Well family tradition is that we go shopping the day after Thanksgiving. We always went shopping at West Town growing up but last year was the 1st year we missed it because I was so sore from my marathon that I couldn't move. So this year we thought we would brave Black Friday in Atlanta. Josh has been dying for an HD TV for about 3 years now and we finally found the one he wanted. Mom and I left at 4:00 am and headed to Circuit City. Typically in the past we have gotten to the mall at around 7:00, never have we been out this early. Much to our surprise there were already at least 400 people there and lined up around the building. After 40 minutes in the freezing cold and and hour in the store we came out empty handed, they were sold out of the TV we wanted. But we didn't let that get us too down and headed to the mall to make up for it. Surprisingly, Perimeter Mall in Atlanta was 10x's better than my experiences at West Town Mall. We were out of there in a couple of hours after hitting all the stores we wanted and standing in very short lines. It was def worth the trip. So if anyone sees any great deals on HD TV's let me know, we are still in the market! Here is a picture from Circuit City, it's a little dark (well duh, it's 4am) and this is only a small portion of the line, just had to take a pic for the blog!

Falcons vs. Colts

Thanksgiving night we went to the Falcons game in Atlanta. The main reason was to watch Peyton play. We had a great time and luckily it was "inside" at the GA Dome because it ended up turning out to be so cold. Josh got us 4 free tickets through a vendor of his and we bought the rest at a great price! Go Peyton (Meredith, I stole a picture from you, you must have the best zoom there is!!!!)

Thanksgiving

Last year everyone came to Atlanta for Thanksgiving because I was running my half marathon. Luckily I wasn't doing that again this year but we had so much fun that everyone decided to come back again. We had a wonderful time and even my Dad and Robin got to stop by and eat on their way back from Jacksonville. I am so thankful for the time with our families this past weekend, the massive amounts of food, baby Bella, and so much more. We are truly blessed! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Last relaxing weekend until 2008

This weekend was the last weekend for awhile that we don't have guests coming in town, then we have Christmas at home and Vegas for the New Year. It was nice to just relax a little, I did have to clean though since I have 8 people and a baby coming in on Wednesday. Dozer really took advantage of the quiet and slept most of the weekend. Other than that Josh had another flag football game on Sunday but this time they didn't win, well I guess technically they did since the other team didn't have enough players but anyways. Here are a few pictures. Everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! Oh and Go VOLS...what a great game!!

Pilgrim Pies

Today we are having our Thanksgiving Dinner at work. Last year I made these Pilgrim Pies just for fun and the girls loved them. So when it came time to sign up for stuff to bring I was told I had to bring these. I would have chosen something a little less time consuming but I couldn't say no. If you are looking for a great Holiday recipe let me know and I'll send you the recipe. They are really rich and homemade but it's pumpkin bread cookies with cream cheese icing in the middle. They really are incredible! Here are pictures from my cooking adventure last night. Mom, don't make fun of me...I know my kitchen is a mess (she always says I am the messiest cook).

Taking Chances

This is a picture from our trip to Vegas when we saw Celine

My all time favorite singer, Celine Dion, is releasing her new album today! I'm very excited and heard a little of it on Oprah yesterday. She hasn't released an album in awhile because she has been playing in Vegas. I did get the opportunity to go see her play there and it was amazing!!!!! My friends didn't like her as much as I did and wouldn't have gone if I had not wanted to so badly but after it was over they were thanking me for liking Celine so much!

Run for Justice

This weekend me and a few girls from work walked in a 5K, Run for Justice. My company was a pretty big sponsor so it was important that we had a presence. Other than the fact that we had to be there at 7:45 on Saturday morning it was nice. It wasn't too cold and we walked through a beautiful neighborhood where all the leaves were changing. We walked the 3 miles in about 55 minutes. My boss brought her husband and little boy and he was quite entertaining! Enjoy the pics.

Mom visits Atlanta

I had a great weekend spending time with my mom here in Atlanta. She got in on Thursday night and that really helped make the weekend seem longer. On Thursday we ate homemade Petros and watched our Thursday shows. On Friday I got to take a half a day and we went to the dermatologist. I'm not sure if you remember my post about atypical results on a mole but I went for the follow up appointment on that. Everything is fine, a small freckle came back where he removed it so they had to burn it off and I go back in a year. Anyways, we spent the rest of the day shopping (our favorite) and hung out at home that night and made fondue. On Saturday my friend Samantha was in town so we went to meet her for lunch and spent the rest of the day cleaning my apartment since I will have about 8 guests and a baby come stay for Thanksgiving! Saturday evening we rewarded our hard work with a nice dinner out and chocolate fondue at home with a movie. On Sunday we got pedicures to cap off the wonderful weekend! I had such a great time with you mom. Thank you for all your help cleaning and everything that you do. Weekends when you come to Atlanta mean so much to me because we get to spend such great time together. Thank you for making the drive and I hope you enjoyed your time here as much as I did. I love you!
