A Big First

**Update-Jason had a great first day. He said everyone was really nice and they seem to have a very structured orientation process. His benefits sound amazing and he learned some neat facts about the company that really interested him. He trains for the rest of this week (forklifts today-he was excited) and then next week he'll start on the line. He is looking forward to everything and is very excited. He has to be there at 7 this week so he's been up around 5:30...luckily that will change! Lacy, I will keep you posted!

Today is Jason's first day of work at his new job. I was so excited for him that I made him take this picture for you all. This is him on his way out this morning. I can't believe my little brother is a "working man". I am also excited to have him as a roommate again, we are going to have some fun times!!!

Many Thanks!

I just have to begin this post by thanking everyone for their help this weekend. As I mentioned this is an older home and lets just say that it wasn't "move-in" ready. A big thank you to Josh, Mom, Bev, Bob, Jason and Meredith. Between the 7 of us we cleaned, repaired, installed, hauled, raked, moved, lifted, drilled, scrubbed, painted, etc., ect....

It seemed as if nothing could go right and we just kept hitting walls (literally). Oh and did I mention that we didn't have air conditioning the whole time??? That's right, just a bunch of fans and open windows. We were really lucky with the weather this weekend though.

What surprises me the most is that despite all of this we managed to keep our spirits high and push through while still having fun.

It was a lot of work but a really great weekend and I couldn't have done it without each person. Thank you all for putting forth so much effort to make this happen.

We still have some work to do so pictures aren't an option right now. I did include a picture of the outside of the house. This is the before picture so you will have to wait and see what we've done with the place. Josh's mom loves to work in flower beds so she was a tremendous help out there. Oh and if you need blinds hung Jason and Meredith are the people to call ;)

Thank you all SO much, I owe each of you BIG time!

Family Vacay in Sandestin

Our condo
Mom and I at Maguires-Jason's suggestion and seriously the best ribs EVER!
Being silly

Out by the pool
Jason and Mer at Maguires
All of us on our last night at The Back Porch-Josh couldn't get off work to come with us and we missed him :(
Just got back this weekend from a wonderful vacation with my mom, brother and Meredith. We did pretty much what your supposed to do on vacation. Lounge by the beach/pool each day, eat seafood at night and just RELAX! It was much needed for all of us and we had such a great time. I hate how a work week goes by so slow but a vacation flies by...it's just not fair.
This is a busy week for all of us. Jason moves to Atlanta on Thursday and with that comes my move to the house. We will be moving all weekend so please be thinking about us...it's going to be hectic but also very exciting!
Hopefully we will be settled enough by the end of the weekend that I can take some pictures for you.

Girls weekend in Vegas!

I got another free offer to stay in Vegas and my girlfriend Samantha really wanted to go before her wedding in August so that's what we did. My friend Brie from Atlanta and one of mine and Samantha's sorority sisters, Calle, went. My friend Morgan is also still living out there for her internship so we got to spend a lot of time with her too! It was an amazing weekend, we all had so much fun and safe travels.

Brie and I arrived in Vegas pretty early on Friday before the other girls got there so we spent some time sightseeing at Ceasars and Bellagio. This is us in the gardens at the Bellagio
Dinner on Friday night at a beautiful resturant at the Wynn. That is a 90ft waterfall behind us and they do a water show througout dinner.
We rented a Pavillion Bed on Saturday out by the pool, it was amazing with a little shade (which helped since it was over 100 degrees), free water and fruit!
This is us out by the pool
We went to Blue Man Gruop on Saturday night. Hmmm, it was very interesting and not at all like what I thought it would be like. It was fun but very different.

Josh is in Chicago this week so please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. It is a great training opportunity for him and he is going to be learning some really incredible things and he is pretty excited about it. I sure am going to miss him though and can't wait to see him on Friday. It was so strange to me that we were flying in total opposite directions last night at the same time and I was sad to not see him when I got home!

Have a great week everyone!
