Christmas Night

Well this Christmas night was a bit of an emotional one for me. It was the first time I wasn't at home with my mom. Josh and I left Knoxville around 4 because we both had to work the next day. I hated feeling like I had to rush out of there and I cried a lot when we left. I'm just glad Josh and I were with each other. It would have been terrible if I was alone. We made it home, drove thru rain the whole time, and ate left overs for dinner. We even made a little Christmas video but I'm not sure if I'm going to post it or not. I'll have to run that one by Josh. Anyways, we had a wonderful time with everyone and we feel so blessed. Thank you to everyone for the wonderful gifts and I hope everyone liked what we got them. This time of year is so much more special when you are with your family and friends and we are so thankful for everyone of them. Now it's time to rest up and head to VEGAS. Josh and I leave Monday morning so please pray for safe travels and that it's not too chaotic over there for the New Years. I'll see everyone in 2008! Happy New Year!

After breakfast at Mom's we went to Josh's parents to watch Bella open gifts. Yes, we ate breakfast again and even had lunch at 2:00 at Mom's. We also opened the rest of our gifts and had a great time. A tradition at the Brimer's is when Josh's mom gives everyone their stocking. She fills them with the most random items and we always look forward to seeing what we get in them each year. This year the big hit was swim caps, as you can see in the picture. Ha ha, so fun!

I got a much needed vacuum cleaner (not from Josh), you know your getting older when you get practical gifts

Christmas morning is always spent at my mom's house. It just wouldn't be Christmas without being there and having breakfast. Mom still leaves Santa presents out but now only because she gets tired of wrapping. In the past two years Josh and Meredith have been coming over that morning to be apart of our tradition. I made a sausage/egg casserole. I didn't think it turned out like it was supposed to but my mom insisted that it did. Dozer was a mess and in the middle of everything as usual. We had a great time and it always makes me sad how quickly it goes by.

Christmas Eve-Part 2

Later that evening we went to Josh's parents house for dinner and 1 gift. Josh's mom made a very yummy lasagna. My mom came with us and Josh's grandmother was there. After dinner we opened the traditional one gift. This year it was a poem from Josh's little sister Chelsey. She spent time and wrote everyone their own personal poem and they were so sweet. We all got a little emotional that night. Little Bella was of course the center of attention. Josh's sister Chelsey and his other sisters boyfriend, Daniel always exchange funny gifts. This year Daniel got Chels a "Box of Bling", we had fun dressing Bella up!

On Christmas Eve afternoon we all got together at Dad and Robin's. Jason made some delicious steaks and Robin made all the wonderful sides. We opened gifts, listened to a beautiful message by Darby and had a great time. One of the highlights was Robin giving Dad an inflatable snowman to put in his yard. It was hilarious! Enjoy the pics!

Girls Night

Later on Sunday evening my childhood best friends all got together for dinner at Erin's. It's always so great to get together with them. Carrie lives in Cleveland Ohio, Hayley in Nashville and Erin and Max in Knoxville so getting us all together is no easy task. Erin made a great dinner and we just sat around and talked all night long. Can't beat that! I am waiting on pics from Hayley because I didn't have my memory stick with me that night so I will post pics later.

Mom's Family Christmas

On Sunday evening we had an earlier dinner at Mom's parents house. We had a traditional turkey and dressing dinner that was very yummy. We always exchange gifts but we draw names since there are several cousins. The past few years we have forgotten to take a group pic so we did this year and it turned out pretty good. I love the goofy one, Jason, Mer and Josh made so much fun of me.

Annual Christmas Party with Friends

Every year my friend from high school has a Christmas party. It is a great time for all of us to spend time with each other and see people we don't usually get to see. It it a lot of people from high school and of course some other that we have become friends with since then. Everyone gets dressed up and we have a great time. This year Jason and Mer went with us and we had so much fun together. All of my friends couldn't believe how grown up Jason was. Enjoy the pics!

Christmas with Granny

On Saturday we went to Rockwood to spend time with my Dad's mom. We all ate at Cracker Barrel and then went back to her house for a game of Dirty Santa, desserts and just hanging out. It's always great to get together at Granny's. We have been doing this every single year since I was born. This year however my aunt, uncle and 2 cousins weren't able to make it and I was pretty sad about that. I know we are all getting older and it's so hard to make stuff like this happen with everyone's hectic schedules but that doesn't make it any easier. Anyways here are some pics from our night in Rockwood.

1st stop

Friday night on the way home Josh, Dozer and I stopped in Englewood to celebrate with some of Josh's mom's side of the family. We had a baked spaghetti dinner and watched the kids open up Christmas gifts. Josh and I of course were late getting there because we were coming from Atlanta traffic so the kids were begging us to hurry and eat so they could open their presents. It was really cute. Here are some pics.
