I'm famous!

It's really random that I posted pictures of Max's wedding because she just told me that this picture is featured in not one, but two magazine's in Dallas. Of course it's the professional version at different angles and stuff but it's this pose. Max said one of the articles is talking about the people that did the flowers and I'm not sure what the other one is. Anyways I thought that was exciting and wanted to share! I know the picture is a little dark but I am the 2nd to last one.

Memorial Day Weekend!

Well I had a wonderful long weekend! Josh and I left Atlanta Thursday after work and spent the whole weekend at Norris Lake on his family's house boat. I just love the lake, it's so relaxing! We wake up to a wonderful breakfast, read a book, take a nap, ride on the pontoon boat and eat excellent dinners. I am in heaven at the lake! We came back Sunday so I could see my mom and stayed at her house for dinner! We decided to drive back to Atlanta at night to hopefully miss traffic. It was such a good idea because we made it in 3 hours. I slept the whole way again, thank you Josh for driving. Monday we laid out by the pool at the apartment and I guess I thought since I had been out in the sun all weekend I would be fine not to put sunscreen on, well that was a huge mistake that I am paying for today! The best part of the whole weekend was that Josh made dinner last night and it was WONDERFUL! He made a pot roast, broccoli casserole and mashed potatoes. Everything was so good and I went back for seconds which I hardly ever do. I am so glad that he takes after his dad and is a wonderful cook. The other part of my weekend was always making sure I had my cell phone or that is was getting reception (at the lake) in case I got the call that Lacy was in labor. I just knew she was going to come this weekend! Well I'm still waiting! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

AT&T Classic

On Friday Josh and I got to go to the AT&T Classic Golf Tournament. The best part is that we got to sit in a Corporate Hospitality Suite (at the 18th hole) and it was all free. One of Josh's vendors through work invited a couple of the Chick-fil-a IT guys and a guest. It was a beautiful course right in the middle of a multi-million dollar neighborhood, the homes were gorgeous. The day was beautiful and because we were there on a Friday it was not that crowded. The catering was done by Proof of the Pudding which is very well known here in Atlanta and it was delicious, again the best part was that is was all free. One of our favorite parts of the day was the "Paintfest"! The Children's Hospital of Atlanta had a tent set up where anyone could donate time and paint these canvas's which were going to be put up for the children. They were already drawn, thank goodness, and all you had to do was fill in colors. I have not painted in a while but that was so much fun, and Josh loved it too. I had to actually pull him away! Overall it was a great day and I got to miss half a day of work too! Sorry I don't have any pictures but you can't take cameras to a golf tournament!

Max's Wedding

Ok, I know it was a while ago but I wasn't sure if anyone got to see the pictures or not. It was in August in Ennis, Texas, just outside of Dallas. Talk about hot!!! It's a darling little town and us girls had so much fun together. Here are a few pictures of pre-wedding festivities (bowling), rehearsal dinner, and the wedding day!

Mothers Day

Here are some pictures from Mother's Day. I ate 2 big lunches that day and was glad that Josh drove back to Atlanta, I slept the whole way. We had lunch with mom at a restaurant in Halls and then lunch at Josh's parents a few hours later. They were both yummy but it took all I had to eat at Josh's. I've been exercising ever since. I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Sorry!

For those of you who actually look at my blog I am sorry it's been so long since I have posted. My job has increased my workload and hours significantly and I'm just tired when I get home because I travel every weekend too. Despite being busy all the time I have had lots of fun with my family and friends over the past month so I promise to post pictures very soon. I did the celebrity look alike thing Darby did, great idea! My confidence level has gone way up! Ha! So take a look below. I miss everyone and hope to see you soon!

Go Braves!

In case you wonder what Josh and I like to do during the warmer weather months....we love to go to the Braves game. We are going to our 3rd game Thursday and the season just started like last week. If you are ever watching them on TV check out the section in the outfield between right field and center field. That is our favorite place to sit. I love it because I get to sit close to Jeff Francouer (pictured), the new guy from Atlanta. Josh actually met him in college and played wiffle ball baseball with him. I will make sure to take a picture of us Thursday and post it on here. Go Braves!!!!

New Camera

As my previous post stated, I am getting a new camera with my tax money!! I have decided that I definitely want a Sony Cybershot. I got my mom one a couple of years ago and she loves it. I am just trying to decide whether I want a blue one or a black one. I have included pictures of both so please send a comment and tell me which one you think I should get. Thanks for your input!

My apartment

Here are a few pictures of my apartment. Sorry if they are a little blury (my next purchase is a camera). This is my living room and kitchen area. I love my kitchen. It is such an improvement from my studio kitchen with one little square to make dinner on.

My Baby!

Ok, well everyone has pictures of their babies so I thought I would put some up of Dozer. The green toy in one picture is his baby. He has had it since he was a puppy and he nurses it at night. I can literally put him to sleep if I want to. I can give him his baby and he will nurse it till he falls asleep then he sleeps with it the rest of the night. Luckily I don't usually have to put him to sleep since he is a Bulldog and lazy is his middle name. He pretty much has full reign of the couch and gets a new toy everyday. About a year ago he weighed 78 lbs and was limping because he was overweight and now after a pretty strict diet he weighs 55 lbs which is average and healthy for a Bulldog. Even though I feel sorry for him because he seems so hungry I know it is better for him and he will live much longer. He is such a joy and I am so lucky to have him!

Happy Birthday Josh!

Yesterday was Josh's 25th birthday!!! I went and ate lunch with him at Chick-Fil-A but we didn't get to do much last night because he had to work late....yes, on his birthday! I did cook him his favorite meal on Wednesday and baked my very first cake for him last night. His parents and sister are in town this weekend so we will get to celebrate more! Here are some pictures of him and his cake and Dozer begging for some!!

Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk

So everyone knows I ran a half marathon back in November and it was such a rewarding experience in more ways than one. Well I'm getting ambitious again and keep hearing about the Breast Cancer 3-day Walk, and they are having one in Atlanta. One big reason I keep thinking about it is while I was training for my race at the park in Atlanta last year, they just so happened to be having the last part of the race right where I was running. It was great to see all these women finish the race after 3 days of hard work and dedication. So the reason I am putting this on my blog is to see if anyone would be interested in doing the Atlanta walk in October. I got online and I have two ideas. The first would be to walk the 60 miles over 3 days and raise the money or we could sign up as crew members and still be involved but not have to walk and raise the money. Please think about it, I would love to sign up as a team and be involved with this great cause in some way. Email me or comment here on your thoughts. Check out the website for more information! I think we all know that we have a special connection to this walk and would be a valuable asset to this cause! http://www.the3day.org/site/pp.asp?c=pmL6JnO8KzE&b=2182495

Fun Weekend with Friends

This past weekend we had friends from college come visit in Atlanta. Daniel and Morgan went to UGA with Josh and Matt is Daniel's cousin from California. We had a great time! Friday night we went to dinner in Virginia Highlands. Saturday we went to a Braves exhibition game where I ended up getting a farmers tan on my arms (I always forget that you can get sun even when it's cloudy)! After the game Matt from CA wanted to see the city but we were hesitant because of all the Final 4 festivities. We went anyways and had a lot of fun. I really wish TN was playing and it would have been more fun but there we people everywhere from all different colleges and it was an all around fun atmosphere. That night we just watched the basketball games and hung out. It was great to see them since they live 4 hours away now in south Georgia. I really miss all my college friends! I am waiting on pictures from Morgan so I will post them soon!

Movie Sets

I'm not too busy at work today so I thought I would post something else. I love movies and all that Hollywood stuff so one thing I like about Atlanta is running into movie sets. Last year was exciting because they were filming "We Are Marshall" all around Atlanta. That was fun because Matthew McConaughey and Matthew Fox were staying in the same town as me...nevermind there are millions of people in Atlanta but it was still special to me :). Anyways, I ran into that set several time, here in Downtown where I work, a couple of blocks from my old apartment and it was always neat to see all the equipment and people on a movie set. Also since I work Downtown right in the heart of the city I have seen several shoots where they are filming people in a cab so they have the cab on the back of a truck with all the lighting and equipment and they get a police escort right down Peachtree Street. Well yesterday I pulled into my street and was complaining about all the construction going on, turns out it wasn't construction yesterday it was a movie set in the townhouses right across from me. I got all excited and ran in to get Dozer so I could walk over. I told Dozer to look his best because maybe they needed a bulldog for their film. Me, Josh and Dozer walked over there and didn't see much, turns out I think it might have been a music video set but it was still neat to see that going on right outside my door. Well that was my excitement for the week!!!
