Movie Sets
I'm not too busy at work today so I thought I would post something else. I love movies and all that Hollywood stuff so one thing I like about Atlanta is running into movie sets. Last year was exciting because they were filming "We Are Marshall" all around Atlanta. That was fun because Matthew McConaughey and Matthew Fox were staying in the same town as me...nevermind there are millions of people in Atlanta but it was still special to me :). Anyways, I ran into that set several time, here in Downtown where I work, a couple of blocks from my old apartment and it was always neat to see all the equipment and people on a movie set. Also since I work Downtown right in the heart of the city I have seen several shoots where they are filming people in a cab so they have the cab on the back of a truck with all the lighting and equipment and they get a police escort right down Peachtree Street. Well yesterday I pulled into my street and was complaining about all the construction going on, turns out it wasn't construction yesterday it was a movie set in the townhouses right across from me. I got all excited and ran in to get Dozer so I could walk over. I told Dozer to look his best because maybe they needed a bulldog for their film. Me, Josh and Dozer walked over there and didn't see much, turns out I think it might have been a music video set but it was still neat to see that going on right outside my door. Well that was my excitement for the week!!!
Sneezing Season
Well I don't know about everyone else but the pollen here in Atlanta is really bad. Here are a few examples, most cars are covered with a thick layer of it, the courtyard where I work looks like the concrete around a sand pit except it's yellow pollen instead of sand. It's everywhere!!! I even saw a couple of people walking around downtown with masks on. Luckily it does not bother me allergy wise but it is pretty annoying. Josh and I went to dinner last night and sat on the patio. They had to wipe our seats and table down, then the pollen from the menu got on my black shirt and when they brought us the food we didn't have silverware because they didn't want to bring it out too soon and it have pollen all over it. Well anyways, I'm sure everyone is suffering from pollen in some way but this much is new to me. I have included a picture from the local paper, I personally don't think it shows how bad it really is (look at the topof the car) but believe me...it's BAD!!!

Girls Weekend!!
Josh's family, Bev, Erin and Chelsey invited me and my mom to stay at a chalet in the mountains for a relaxing girls weekend. We went to Downtown Asheville Saturday afternoon and it is a really neat place. It's very eclectic with great little restaurants and boutique stores. We had a lot of fun just hanging out and catching up with each other. I have attached a picture of the chalet and will add a few later on.

Adorable!
My new "fun" phone
I'm so excited! I have never really had a "fun" cell phone...until now! Most of you know about the Verizon "New Every Two" deal. Well my time was up and I just ordered the new LG Cherry Chocolate phone. It should be here by tomorrow. I got a $150 phone for FREE! You can't beat that! Ok, well I thought I would share my excitement on finally getting a new phone, I have had the same one for the past two years so I believe it's well deserved. I didn't do research like Dad does so hopefully it will turn out to be a good phone. I have included a picture so you can see what it looks like and probably the next time I talk to you I will be using it! YAY!

I thought I would include a picture of all the girls I work with at Paces. I wasn't lying when I said ALL girls. This was taken when I had my first party at my new apartment. I invited them all over for dinner and fun! We all come from different backgrounds but get along very well. From left: Me, Melissa, Courtney, Sha (in back), Allyson, Lisa (in back), Brie, Tisha, Kelli.

Spring Break
Oh how I miss having a Spring Break! This year however Jason and Meredith came to stay with me for part of their Spring Break so I felt like I had a mini one. We had a blast while they were here and I already miss them. Friday night we just stayed in and ordered pizza from a great little place up the street, Johnny's Pizza. If you have ever seen the video "Evolution of Dance" on Youtube.com then you would understand why we had so much fun filming Jason do his own version of it. I haven't laughed that much in a long time. Once I figure out how to upload videos from my new camera then I will put it on here ( if Jason will let me)! Saturday I took Meredith to Swoozies to look for wedding stuff for her sister. Jason and Josh didn't want to go for some reason so they stayed and played Play Station. We went to Atlantic Station a little bit later and had dinner at Fox Sports Grill then went to watch the new movie 300! It was a great movie and a must see if you have not already! Sunday was going to be a great golfing day but as we were loading the clubs Jason accidentally locked Meredith's keys in the truck of the car. Needless to say we missed our tee time and had to call AAA to break into the car. That did not stop us from enjoying the beautiful day though. We all took Dozer to Piedmont Park and enjoyed the sunny weather. There were so many people and dogs at the park!! That night we went to STRIP for dinner and ate on the patio which was nice. We went bowling afterwards where Jason and Josh beat us pretty bad, I did break 100 so I was happy with that. I had to go to work on Monday which didn't really feel like a Spring Break but afterwards we took Jason and Meredith to their first NHL hockey game. The Thrashers won 4-2 and we had a great time other than freezing to death. I have a picture from the game taken with my cell phone camera so it's not very good. Mom would be disappointed that I didn't take any pictures all weekend...sorry Mom...I was having too much fun! I am also including a picture of Jason and Dozer. This wasn't taken this weekend but it was at my apartment and I just think it is so cute. It's reminds me of a picture that would be taken after Spring Break was over! As you can see we were pretty busy and we are all broke now but we had a great time! It was all worth it!
PALE IS THE NEW TAN
I saw this slogan on a t-shirt last year and loved it!!! I would have bought the t-shirt but for some reason it was $25. Anyways, I just had 3 moles biopsied and the Dr. called back today to say that one was precancerous. It's nothing to be alarmed about right now because it's mild rather than moderate, severe or cancerous. I will have to go back in 4 months to have it reexamined. Of course the first thing I do is look on the internet at facts about precancerous moles and how to keep them from turning into Melanoma. Basically I am going to be pale for the rest of my life, they say to avoid the sun if at all possible. This is not that far off from the past few years since I have made a commitment not to go to the tanning bed anymore and have no time to lay out in the sun. This entry is really to encourage everyone to be very careful in the sun and in tanning beds. It's about that time again to start getting bathing suit ready but you have to ask yourself if it's really that important to have a great tan. I would rather be cancer free and have less wrinkles but that's just me. I will keep you posted on the troublesome mole and until then you can find me in the shade!

Trip to the Grand Canyon and Phoenix
Josh and I just went out West for a long weekend recently and it was an amazing trip. I flew into Phoenix on Thursday, Josh was already there with Chick-fil-a. We rented a Jeep and drove to the Grand Canyon, stopping in Sedona on the way. It was about a 7 hour trip but well worth it. You start out in the desert and drive through mountains and forrests and there is just so much scenery. We spent most of the next day driving through the Canyon stopping at all the points to see the views. We tried to see the Sunrise but much to our dismay a snow storm came through and there was no sun to be seen. It was still a beautiful morning but I wish there had been more sun just for the warmth. The weather was in the 40s but with the wind it felt much colder. After the day in the Grand Canyon we drove back to Phoenix in a stow storm, 50mph winds, and sunshine. Our journey took us through so many types of landscape and climates. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone that hasn't done it already. I just wouldn't go in February. We spent the rest of the weekend in Phoenix where it was warmer and ate at In and Out Burger twice. It's my new favorite fast food restaurant, I love the fresh cut fries. We missed Dozer terribly but he was well taken care of by my mom! I have included a few pictures from the trip but will try to put up a link to all the pictures soon.
Trip to see Samantha in Nashville
A couple of weekends ago I went to Nashville to see Samantha. I hadn't seen her in way too long so it was great to spend time with her and catch up on everything. I didn't get there till late on Friday so we just hung out at her apartment and I got to meet her really sweet boyfriend Jamie. We met up with Hayley also so that was an extra treat to get to see her too. Saturday we went to see Sam's new townhouse she just bought and to look at furniture for the new place. She moves in in June or July and the place is beautiful. Saturday night we went to Virago, a really nice Sushi place where we met lots of people including Aftin, a college friend I hadn't seen since we graduated. She is getting married this summer and it was great to talk to her about all her plans. Afterwards we went to Cabana and met up with another one of my college friends, Callie. It was a great weekend to see faces I hadn't seen in awhile and to hang out with Sam, she is such a special friend. I have included a few pictures of us at Virago.
I guess I'm a blogger now!
Well my stepsister Lacy has the most adorable blog and has now inspired me to create my own so here it is. I won't have cute baby stuff like hers but I'm sure you will see lots of Dozer pictures. I will try to keep it updated with my all my adventures! I hope everyone enjoys, will check back often and post comments! Here is a picture of Dozer to start it off!
